We travelled quite a lot around Goa, and all by Taxi, as soon as we found a driver we liked ( which was pretty much straight away) we kept using him for the 2 weeks, he showed us the sights and took us to some of the best beaches and got us some great deals with the people he knew. They are comfy and as safe as it gets over there. Oh and they all burn Joss sticks in their taxis!

We were keen to see at least a little more of India than just Goa, so we jumped at the chance to take a two night trip to the neighbouring state, Karnataka. The journey there and back was by train, taking about eight hours. That sounds a long while to spend on a train but we loved the journey and found so much to interest us both on the train and outside the windows that we didn’t even open the books we’d taken along to while away the time.

The easiest and cheapest way to get around is by the local Taxi's.
You can have your Taxi all day for about £7.
For this your Taxi driver will pick you up at your hotel, drive you to where you want to go, stay with you as long as you want him to, and finally take you back to your hotel.
A real diamond geezer.
