Film: Six degrees of separation Dir: Fred Schepisi Six degrees of separation: Six Degrees of Separation is a 1993 American film adaptation of the John Guare play of the same title, which was inspired by the real-life con artist David Hampton. The film makes reference to two Kandinsky artworks, "Black Lines" and "Several Circles", referred to as chaos and control in the film respectively. Trivia Stockard Channing was best known for playing Rizzo in 1978's Grease. Donald Sutherland has worked with another actress from that same movie, Dinah Manoff, in Ordinary People in 1980.
