Vasco da Gama railway station is one of the important railway stations of Goa. The railway station is served by the South Central Railways. Vasco da Gama railway station is connected to Hyderabad, Hubli, Hospet and Belgaum by meter gauge rail. Besides, the railway station is connected by most of the trains running to Goa. Goa Express, Vasco da Gama Chennai Express, Vasco da Gama Kacheguda Express, Vijaywada Vasco da Gama Express and Londa Vasco da Gama Express are some important trains pass through the railway station. Close to the railway station is a tourist aid cell at the tourist hostel. From the station taxis and private buses are available for local transport. Close to the railway station, excellent accommodation facilities are offered by the hotels.
