Goddess Shantadurga the presiding deity of this temple is known for her powers to grant the wishes of her followers. Many have expirienced her benovelence and therefore her place is visited by all and sundry throughout the year. Anybody who worships her with mind and soul is never returned disappointed. Her position as a 'Jagrit Devtaa' stands unchallenged.
