Miramar is the beach of the capital city of Goa, Panjim. Dona Paula is a tiny hill just south of Miramar.
Miramar beach is decked out with a vast spread of sand where the Mandovi River gleefully meets the sea. This area is usually crowded every evening reason being its popularity for recreational activities. Towards the south, around a 2-km stretch of this beach extends till the National Institute of Watersports, at the base of the Cabo Raj Bhavan hillock. A road along this beach is sometimes called Goa Marine Drive due to its resemblance to Mumbai Marine Drive.
Swim whim:
Miramar is a reasonably safe place to swim. There is a lifeguard at Miramar.
Getting there:
From Dabolim airport - 32 km. Pre-paid taxi would cost around Rs 400. From Panjim station - 3 km.
