Dona Paula is actually a package of three beaches. These are: Dona Paula, Hawaii and Vainguinim beaches. Hawaii is just opposite the jetty and most of Goa's sailing activities take place here. Out of these three, Vainguinim beach is completely surrounded by the five-star resort Cidade de Goa although it has two public approaches. A tiny island-like hillock in the sea is adorned with a traditional Portuguese pergola (a framework constructed to support climbing plants) which invites the tourists to enjoy marvelous views of the Mormugao Harbour and the Arabian Sea to the south and west and Zuari Bridge to the east. The jetty at Dona Paula is fishers' heaven. Getting there: From Panjim - 7 km.
